556 Book Chicks had this one on the kindle forever...this is what happens when you are constantly buying books and never taking the time to read what you already have. I don't know how many times I passed up this book on my kindle. So once again I sorted my kindle by Author and here is this book... This time, I was like what the heck...
What I liked about it - no loved about...EVERYTHING! It was different and raw. The female lead, Venessa, was everything you want in a female lead. She was smart, athletic, talented, and she was a killer. She could take a man out three times her size without batting an eye. And her boy toy, Rogan, was ugly!!!! Finally a book where everyone is not drop dead gorgeous and rich! Houston we have finally stumbled across some ordinary people (kind of).
Did I mention...it was action packed and full of suspense. Expect the unexpected with this one! Nothing is off limits...club fighting, girl trafficking, porn watching...everything is a go in this book. Did I mention at times this book was downright funny? Thanks to Rafe! He has absolutely no filter at all. In his head and out his mouth. Did I mention that Venessa was a kick ass DJ that loved Eminem? Did I mention that this is also a love story?
Did I mention I can't wait to dive into book 2? - Brawler!
