Hunter Wilder is backkkkkk....

Smitten by Lacey Weatherford

4 out of 5 stars

Follow up book to Crush (you need to read Crush first)

556 Book Chicks gets smitten:
If you are thinking this follow up book will be all hearts and flowers, please think again. Yes, Dylan (aka Hunter Wilder) and Cami are still in love and they are still together. But Hunter Wilder is going back undercover and he has to end all contact with Cami until the assignment is over.

Hunter has all new things on assignment - new muscle car and a hot new girlfriend, Roberta. Even though Roberta knows Hunter is undercover she wants more than a fantasy relationship with him. Hunter is dating Roberta to get information about the murder of her boyfriend and to get in on the operations of her brother, Ripper Riveria. The only thing that can destroy the undercover operation is Cami...or Hunter. We will let you decide on your own! Hmmmmmmm

What we loved ~ how we got to know Dylan's family. Even if its just a brief introduction it was a great addition to the book. We love how Russ (the friend that got poisoned by the nut Clay in Crush) is also a big part of the book. Russ is super funny! And he had us laughing throughout the book. He agreed to watch over Cami while Hunter is on assignment, and some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth - OMG!

We have to say that for Cami to be so young, she handled herself better than one would imagine. She was NOT griping and complaining, she really rolled with the punches and went with whatever was handed to her. And that makes her one of the top female book characters for us. We get so sick of the weak women running and crying - only to come to their senses and come back to the guy. Cami stayed true to her heart and we were freaking thrilled about that.

We can't really dive into the story without giving anything away...and we definitely don't want to spoil the book for you. But just know Hunter will not be the only one hooking up with Cami, there will be a HUGE surprise in Vegas, and just when you think the book is over - BAM there is a knock at the door! If only we could prepare you for what happens...Kudos to Lacey Weatherford for a great sequel book!
